WHY!?

WHY NOT!? It’s an awesome place! I’ve been there 4 times, twice for two weeks with kids, twice for a week before kids. My wife’s parents have been visiting every two or three years for the last 3 decades.

No but really, why?

We truly love this town and we want our kids, and ourselves, to have this long term cultural experience. My wife, Jane, took Spanish all through grade school and college and even studied abroad in Spain where all her classes were in Spanish. On the other hand, I struggled with learning language in school and now in adulthood I wish I had stuck with it while my brain was still plastic enough to retain it all. Our kids will be going to a bilingual school while there so hopefully they’ll be correcting our Spanish by the end!

What about weddings?

I will be shooting wedding, engagement sessions, and families while in San Miguel! The traditions there surrounding weddings and ceremonies contain so much joy, I’m really excited to get into it.

However, for the duration that we are living in San Miguel, July 2023 - July 2024, I won’t available for any dates at home in Harrisburg or PA, MD, NJ, DE in general.

are you coming back?

Yes! I’ll be available to shoot weddings, engagements, you name it, again in August 2024 and beyond. San Miguel may be far away but it isn’t disconnected. I’ll be able to communicate in all the usual ways with everyone back at home and with any future clients.

This is a cultural experience for our family but we are not looking to make it permanent. We will be happy to return to Harrisburg and continue where we left off!
